7/5/08 12:15 pm - a neutral observation i feel is healthy to revisit now and again:I like to believe that I am not really Totally Full of Shit; this is easier to believe on some days more than others.

6/27/08 01:39 pm - ominousStomach making small creaking sounds of protestation with increasing frequency. The library's very quiet, and I am embarrassed. Sorry, occasional passersby, that is not a small animal under the table, move along! If The Fall is playing at an accessible theatre, you should go see it! |
6/24/08 09:14 pm - eloquently put"Perhaps the only goal on earth to which mankind is striving lies in this incessant process of attaining ... and not in the thing to be attained, which must always be expressed as a formula, as positive as twice two makes four, and such positiveness is not life, gentlemen, but is the beginning of death." - Dostoevsky, Notes from Underground.

3/16/08 11:31 pm - observation of a greenhorn with a tendency to exaggerateThe thing about philosophical tracts is the vocabulary which inevitably gets distilled down to a particular set of words, which are rearranged, negated, then shuffled, redealt and then someone makes a distracting joke, kicks the table over, guffaws, then calmly picks those words up with a sly eye and places them very nearly in the original order again on the restood table on its poor four feet, so that shit looks familiar, but by that point I am not sure of what I am reading, i.e. quaint puns?
Not yet to that point, at least tonight, thankfully. But it is EARLY, KIDS. |
